In Noelle’s Advanced Speaking and Listening class, her students were asked the question: “What Makes Portland Weird?” Each student created a photo story and presented their findings to the whole school. Portland can be a weird place, but what exactly makes it so? Noelle’s students went on journeys around the city in quest of the answer. Here is one such presentation, on the historic Portland landmark, Pittock Mansion by Nada Saud. Now a museum and local attraction, Pittock Mansion was once home to Henry Pittock, publisher of The Oregonian.
